Additional Info

Built in a rush, because it arrived literally 1 day before a trip to Finale.
Zero carbon parts.
This G1 frame was a replacement from Nicolai for my previous G16 that err, "met an unfortunate end".
I didn't get the EXT shock simply due to budget. This is a warranty replacement frame, but I still had to buy the Fox shock so it wasn't free (thanks metric shocks!)
I haven't had chance to ride it yet, but early noticeable differences are - firstly it's a lot heavier than the G16, because it's a LOT chunkier. Pretty much every tube is wider and thicker. The chainstay yoke is particularly massive, even the shock plates are 5mm thick solid alu. I weighed the frame and shock at 4.7Kg, that's 1.2Kg heavier than stated on the Nicolai website, which is a bit cheeky. And secondly, a quick car park ride it already feels a lot more different to the G16 than I expected. It actually feels smaller? But that might be the saddle that needs moving backwards.
