Enduro, Mountains, Beers and Beach - The Trans-Vallarta

Welcome to the first edition of the Trans Vallarta Enduro, a 5-day backcountry race across the mountains of the "Sierra Madre Occidental" from March 4th - 10th 2018, with some of the most amazing valleys, sweet singletrack riding and rad descents combined with traditional culture from the XVII century and a non-touristy hidden side of México.A race that will lead you from the top of the clouds of the colonial town of Mascota at 1860 meters over sea level all the way down to the beach and into the ocean of the paradisiac town of Puerto Vallarta where margaritas and fresh fish tacos will be waiting to wrap a very unique adventure.

The town of Navidad is part of the Mascota municipality, Navidad dates back to the mid-1600's, more precisely 1644 when they started mining the area. Most of the trails date to this period.

"Putting the Mexican mining history back on the map, this time with mountain bikes"

Mascota is located only 2 hours away from Puerto Vallarta’s International Airport and it´s been in the eye of international riders for a few years, hosting different kind of media, industry trips, national and international bike races. Today we are more than stoked to put together the best riding in the area connecting Mascota and Puerto Vallarta through single track and beautiful mountain and beach towns, this will be more than a race, this is a lifetime experience to share with riders from all over the world. Come live and ride México! The terrain can change from super rowdy trails inside of a beautiful forest surrounded by oaks and pine trees to a flowy and fast descent inside of the tropical jungle with cool and warm temperatures. Riders will definitely enjoy the variety of terrain, trails, and towns this race has to offer.

This classic Mascota trail: "Wiwichu", finishes right in the town of Navidad. Navidad is Christmas in Spanish. Wiwichu a merry ...

But wait, the riding isn’t everything, also the tasty country meals with the full Mexican stamp on, and the traditional beverages will keep the bike party on and the adventure will speak by itself. This area is well recognized for the agave plantations to make tequila and some other local drinks like “Raicilla” #Ridecilla.

Puerto Vallarta's warm Pacific Ocean.

We are also proud to say that with this race we are supporting the small community villages and promoting outdoor activities around the region, also helping two of the trail building organizations that have been working hard for years in order to clear and reroute these old mining pads for us to go shred on!

"Come join us for a trip back into the past with modern bikes!"
