Install is rather easy. Unseating the bead after it's glued itself on with CC offering no room to budge into the drop center can be a nightmare.

Chris is a good dude. I worked on their factory in Shasta Lake City before they relocated up north. Treated his people really good when he was here.

If you're ever in Portland and you have the chance to visit and tour Chris King HQ, I highly recommend it. A lot of thought went into making that place as responsible, sustainable, and pleasant to work at as possible. Bonus points if you can snag lunch at their incredible employee cafeteria.

Well this makes me feel a little better about the fact my hubs, bottom bracket, and headset cost more than my drivetrain and brakes.

Another thought on OP's OP: The two biggest differences between drivetrain groupsets are materials and finishing. Fancy finishes don't make components stronger, but materials certainly do. There's a lot more metal and a lot less plastic in an expensive ... more »
