Because kids that ride those bikes have no comprehension of nice things, and that’s really cool. I guarantee any kid that gets one would be just as stoked on a kicker bike that costs $100. On top of that most kids just thrash their bikes. It’s for midlife crisis/status symbol dads to buy there toddlers so they can feel good about ignoring them.
Total crap. One pull on a stationary bike is meaningless. Noone is making power numbers on a mountainbike to the extent of road cyclists, also with having that power be sustained for a length of time as a sprint-to-the-finish. '1500w(?)' for 10 seconds? Try 1100 watts for 30 seconds w/ peak of 1400 for 5 seconds. This in intervals during a criterium or road race and there is no excuse for making a counter point to clipless pedals - they're consistent power-transfer. But again - on trails those power numbers are not made and the consistency of leg extension, ankle position and hip rotation just do not apply.
Another glory moment for YouTube -- type in 'Dog,Baby,Hiney-Lick' next time.
nah. Cushcore is the only way to support those things if it's really the tire one wants to run. Around here we call em the EXOonooooooo for a reason :-)
I don't get the complaining about the $65 price tag. A Minion DHR/F EXO with their Maxterra compound is normally around $90. Sure, you can find them on sale for a little less. Definitely like the initial review of these and I'll probably pick up a pair to try them out.
HOWEVER, come on Vital, mounting with Cushcore was a "cinch," really? How many beers deep were you?
I agree with you in wanting burlier stuff, but when specing a trail bike going overboard with the burly stuff can sometimes send the wrong message of what the bike is for. If they spec'ed an X2 and a 150 36 on there and people might think it's made for something it's not and could lead to possible failures from, casing to many jumps. Not putting words in Ibis's mouth but this thing looks like a proper trail bike with fun geo that can sometimes send, but isn't designed for full time sending just like the mojo 3.
Right? Bummed that the 27.5 is only available in the small size. Otherwise it looks like a real ripper and this is exactly the kind of value disruption this industry needs!

There are no foot platforms..
What a huge oversight.
Its a kickbike, not a balance bike.

How many bikes do they donate per one of these sold? Over the top for no reason. And I like over the top bikes, but this is nauseating

This is a very poorly timed 1% aimed product that only amplifies my distaste for Spec.

Too bad that MaxxGRIP couldn't come with the casing to actually support it. Say no to EXOonoooooo
