Karim Amour takes command at the Enduro World Series in Round 1

Go time for Karim Amour, who took 3 stage victories in the men's master 40+ category

The first round of the 2019 Enduro World Series stopped in Rotorua, New Zealand where the Miranda Racing Team showed good form with a trio of victories in the men's master 40+, and two second places in the elite category.

José Borges snapped up to 2nd places in stages 1 and 2

In the elite category, Jose Borges earned two formidable second-place finishes, the first in stage 1 and the other in stage 5, where he narrowly missed first place by a slim 0.66. More importantly, Borges closed out the event in 11th place. He demonstrated good speed and, without a series of crashes in the other stages, Borges would have easily landed in the top 5.  

Alex Cure had a solid race but could have ridden a bit more aggressively to do better than 32nd place.

Karim Amour takes the podium's top spot

In men's master 40+ category, Karim Amour won the overall event by capturing three wins out of five stages. Amour scored an extra 30 points by winning the queen stage. With this victory Amour announced that he plans to keep his crown by doing a threepeat! 

With the results of round 1 of the 2019 Enduro World Series, the Miranda Racing Team steps into 5th place in the team rankings. Compared to bigger teams like Giant, Trek, Specialized or Yeti, Miranda will confidently head to round 2 in Derby, Tasmania, Australia this Sunday, March 31 in a mighty attempt  to dethrone higher-ranked teams from GT, Rocky Mountain, Ibis, and Canyon.
