Your Brain on E

Any questions? Those of us that grew up in North America during the 80’s or earlier no doubt experienced the War on Drugs. The commercial campaigns were creative and entertaining in a dark way and left a lasting impression on an entire generation. With the impending deluge of electric bikes that is sure to take the bike industry by storm, we wanted to poke a little fun at the perceived polarizing device that is the electric mountain bike. Your Brain on E is our take on the instant happy feelings you get when you pedal an electric bike for the first time. It’s undeniably fun!

With the launch of the Remote CTRL electric mountain bike, we wanted to show that pedal-assist bikes can be ridden downhill just like any other trail bike. We all know how fun they are to pedal uphill, but how do they feel on the descent? We put Graham Agassiz on board and watched him ride with so much style that it blew our minds. The Remote CTRL features 150mm of front and132mm of rear wheel travel -that perfect amount of squish to make everything fun! After watching Aggy ride this bike, it's safe to say this thing absolutely shreds.

Check out all of the technology that we put into making the Remote CTRL one of the most entertaining bikes we've ever created.

At Kona, we're all about the freedom and empowerment of the bicycle. We have been since 1988. We still have the same founding owners. We're still populated by a staff of keen, active, impassioned cyclists. We're not big, nor are we that small. Just a dedicated group of cyclists making bicycles for people who love bikes-no matter if that love is new or long established.

Insert _______ company here. Everytime I see an ebike edit like this they use some ripper, with gobs of style stick them on some ebike and their energy/style looks like it’s zapped from them as fast as the stupid graphics put in the add.

RIP Kona and screw vitalmtb for posting motorcycle content again. Time for some new MOUNTAIN BIKE web sites.

Couldn't agree more on how it looked on jumps and corners, and I couldn't help but think this is exactly the type of video that will get land access for bikes taken away. Blowing up corners, going 'off' trail, I can't imagine this is good for e-bike access proponents. I guess Kona is banking on selling the bike to shredders, instead of people that actually need some assistance to get up the hill.

That’s nonsense. Everyone of those trails are in most of his vids and ridden the same way on every one of his other bikes. that off trail is the pit where freeriding began 20 odd years ago. It’s a gravel pit and has been ridden and filmed constantly and it looks the same. Get a grip

Look, I killed five trees today with an excavator, no joke, making some trail through USFS land. I'll mow down some forest, skid, go off trail and laugh about it with the best of them. I'm just saying that it is super good ammo for the ass hats that want to shut down trails, but never did I say 'they shouldn't do that'.

I don’t see the outrage to countless other vids with awesome riding. Seems only because there’s an ebike involved. Why would any of the “asshats” you have to deal with use Kamloops riding as their reasoning for banning bikes. You like e bikes or you don’t . To each his own. You referred to his riding so I stand by my comments. I’m sure Kamloops cycling clubs are in favor of having a great representative in Aggy
