Great bike but unless they’ve changed the course it’s not the ideal bike for Leadville.

Leadville is a hardtail race IMO. I’ve raced it twice, second on HT, and don’t personally believe rear suspension is justified (at least 2 of the top 3 times all time were done on hardtails) and if the rider feels strongly about rear suspension the SB100 leans the wrong direction, ie toward a trail bike vs XC race bike.

All that said, again it’s a great bike with a seriously sweet build and if you only have one bike this would certainly be better than what I chose my first time at Leadville and might be better for the rider in other places (CO or otherwise)
