What is the function of the clamp on the head tube ?
Yeah it makes changing angle cups a breeze! You almost don't need any tools.
When Intense sold that frame, it came like that and with 3 different Cane Creek Angleset top cups, (-5*, -1*, -1.5*) so you can easily change the top cup and the head tube angle. The bike also has 3 position adjustable Rear shock travel and progression as well as rear chain stay length and bb height. So you can tune to different DH courses.
Still amazed you got this down to 32lbs. Those speedplay pedals must be most of the weight savings
😂 Thanks bro! I’ve been on Speedplay’s since they first came out years ago. They are only 200g with the ti axle or 250 with stainless, (I have both) they have lots of float, (easy on the knees) and easy entry/exit. Unfortunately Speedplay got bought out by Wahoo and isn’t making them anymore, (but luckily I have spares). Lots of carbon on the bike too, wheels, cranks, seatpost and bars. And ti bolts on all load bearing parts and alloy bolts on non load bearing parts. But, the Onyx hubs are heavy and I could also loose another 170g when I switch to a 7 speed cassette. So if I had lighter hubs and the 7 speed cassette, I think It would be under 32lbs. But I’m happy the way it is now. My Uzzi is also pretty lite too, under 29lbs🤘🏻😆
Congratulations on Bike of the Day! I still rock a 2014 Intense M9 and I love it! There amazing!
M9 here too, but in 27.5”! :D
Nice! Well, technically mine is a 26er, but the 2.8 tires actually measure 27.5 in diameter, so mine is both! 😃👍🏼
Yeah! Your build came out great! When you get a chance, can you please tell me exactly which Mudhugger fender you used on youe build? I want to do the same on my M9 too. It looks great!
Thanks man, I have Mudhuggers on my M9 and my Uzzi! They look and work great! Here’s the link, it’s the FRX Mudhugger.

Thanks bro! Can’t wait for the parks to open up!
It's lighter than my trail bike?!?
Oh wait, my trail bike has heavier tires than this.
See Steber?? Remember when your bikes were beautiful?!!
I think Steber's bikes are still beautiful. I think he would still make aluminum bikes if he could, but no one would buy them.
Mostly everyone wants carbon......
I am over my Carbon phase. I had 2012 Tracer 2 and loved it. Then i wanted a carbon bike now after years of carbs i find i want a sweet alloy bike.
I wish Intense would do aluminum bikes again. I would buy one definitely
I agree, I love the old school locally made alloy bikes, that’s why I still have my Uzzi and now this M9. 🤘🏻😎
Bike of the Day May 18, 2020!
Thanks man, I’m stoked!
