Worst Slam of 2012, Vital MTB Shreddy Award

There were a couple of quality dirt naps this year, but only one rider can claim they are the winner of the Shreddy for Worst Slam of 2012. In this case, being a winner is NOT a good thing.

Miss the winner's big slam the first time around? Check it out here, and while you're at it, don't miss this video about the 2nd slam. GROSS!

Mad props to Gee - a true wolvarine - but I think Neko Mullaly's race run crash at MSA was more brutal than Gee's at MSA (though Gee's Rampage crash takes the cake if you ask me). Neko got kocked the fock out - no suspension soaking up at least some of the impact. It was sickening to watch:

To me, that only helps me understand why Gee's *slam* won this. Gee hit so hard that it grossly overwhelmed the suspension and he kept going. These guys /sound/ very modest when they describe, but the words they use help explain it very vividly, such as *explode*. How he survived, he sounds like he got "knocked the fock out" too, and podiumed is seriously like a *miracle*. *Ironman* might be a bit modest way to describe Gee.

hell, his crash at rampage was worse than the one that won him the crash award!...and Zinks crash was most awful of the decade.

Slam certainly is a good word to describe that. Or rather, that crash is a certainly a good example to describe a slam.

That Rampage crash footage... ugh...

He definitely took the win with those ridiculous slams. I'd like Mike Hopkins to get the honorable mention though for his huck-to-nowhere at Rampage in the mid-course step-down that sent him to flat, well past the mark.

Yeah that was a scary one for sure... easily went 100ft. out to 25ft. down... to flat. But I can't believe how gnarly his Rampage and Anne crashes were. Def. the worst case scenario happening on both.

He's tough as nails, I hope he has an injury free 2013 season.
