2022 SCOR 4060 Z LT XT E-Bike
The Good
Fun, poppy, mx compatible, solid build kit. Doesn’t feel like or ride like a tank. Big battery.
The Bad
I had some issues with the linkage being super creaky and I blew up 4 motor covers before they sent a better one.
Overall Review
Pretty spendy so bear that in mind. However i’ve seen them for like $2.5k less than msrp.

Tested: Newmen Beskar Flat Pedal
Overall Review
How do you make something very light yet very strong? In the Star Wars universe, it’s simple: use Mandalorian beskar, a super-tough alloy that can even resist direct lightsaber hits for some time. In the real world, most of us don’t need our stuff to be lightsaber-resistant, so Newmen settled for a regular Earthly aluminum body with a titanium spindle for their first foray into the flat pedal galaxy. To check their work, we laid our hands on a sample pair and put it to the test under our

2023 Transition Smuggler Carbon GX Bike
Overall Review
The Smuggler has been a staple of Transition’s line up for a while, but the very latest generation had us waiting for it as Transition took their time giving it the same refresh as the rest of the range. When the Smuggler finally returned for 2023 it featured the new design language also found on most of the other Transition bikes, along with the mandatory longer and slacker treatment. Sporting travel numbers that puts it squarely in the “trail bike” category, we were excited to make it our

We Are One Composites Convergence Wheelset
Overall Review
Strong yet compliant, preferably with a lifetime warranty program of some sort – these are all attributes that you would expect to find in today’s premium carbon wheelsets. We Are One Composites spent two years designing their latest rim, the Convergence, and they took this mission to heart. They came up with a rim that not only looks unique but offers distinct advantages thanks to its angled spoke beds. We’ve had a pair of these new wheels out on the trails for about five months now, and we’re

2021 Devinci Django Deore 12S Bike
The Good
Geometry and suspension are sorted out very well
The Bad
She's a portly lass, 32 pounds. Cable routing isnt great.
Overall Review
This bike is excellent. She's a heavy girl, but man does she swing above her weight. It's simultaneously the best climbing and best descending bike I have ever owned. When it came out, it was excellent value compared to other full bikes and the stock spec was very well thought out. The geometry is excellent if you are not fortunate enough to live in alpine or mountain terrain, and the conservative numbers are great for actual trail riding where it's gnarly up and down the trail. 2022 Yeti Arc
The Good
Great do-almost-anything hardtail, stunning finishing, nice geometry.
The Bad
Serious coin.
Overall Review
Custom build 2022 Yeti Arc running 130mm Pike Ultimate, XT/AXS and 30mm ID carbon wheels (Enve m70s and Kovee Pros). Have two set ups - one with XC tyres (Fastrack), the other with Dissector/Rekon (with CCore). With the trail tyres it is an incredible all-rounder - not much you couldn't ride, especially if a fork was shunted up to 150mm (ran a 150mm 36 for a while). With the XC tyres its a rocket. Overall, the bike feels really nicely balanced - long (enough) slack (enough) but still quick to

2023 Transition Spire Carbon GX Bike
Carbon Spire
The Good
Spot on geometry, doesnt ride 'like a 170mm bike until you need it, pedals well for a big bike, super stable, way more versatile than you'd expect from a long travel, long and slack aggressive bike.
The Bad
Paint and finishing isn't as good as it should be at this price point, tolerances on the frame has been a bit hit and miss, its a long bike....
Overall Review
Have a custom carbon Spire, running EXT shock out back, carbon wheels and AXS. This is my 3rd long travel Transition. The Spire pedals as well as my old Sentinel, but has added travel and stability which is noticeable when its needed. The EXT helps it sit high in the travel which has also (along with 165 cranks) kept pedal strikes to a minimum. Ive got a reasonable light build but still pretty bomb proof. The alloy frames tend to be pretty heavy/burly depending on how you want to look at it

2023 Trek Fuel EX 9.9 XTR Gen 6 Bike
Fuel EX
The Good
Many size options. Medium fit perfect in the saddle with shorter 580’ish ETT for me at just under 5’7”, while still having between 455-460 reach depending on flip chip and headset positions. Climbs excellent with minimal bob. Snappy but still plush enough over slow tech stuff to not be jarring. Shines on the downs with feel of more travel (140/160). Storage area and bag are perfect size for pump, plug kit and multi-tool.
The Bad
Only complaint is slight rattle when riding chunky terrain coming from the forward section of the down tube due to the plastic internal cable guide tubes. They’re not affixed/molded to the carbon frame like other manufacturer frames. Gonna try motofoam to fix with easy access with the storage compartment.
Overall Review
Great Trail bike (or enduro bike in the right hands) with tons of adjustment for the perfect fit as well as sizes to fit just about any rider out there.

BN3TH North Shore Liner Short
The Good
The front cutout for the male anatomy is something I didn't know I needed. Eliminates a lot of numbness & discomfort from old school chamois compressing your genitals.
The Bad
Waistband is almost too grippy, but in a good way
Overall Review
Nothing but positives. Ran a lot of higher end brands over the years for riding mountain bikes. Liners stitched into baggies. Detachable liners. Roadie bib shorts under baggies. Even high end road racking chamois shorts with expensive contoured chamois pads. The Bn3th liners are simple, smart & just make sense. The rear of the chamois is padded typically, but then tapers away into a well made pouch that allows the male bits and pieces to move around and conform how they need to naturally. There

Bluegrass Vanguard Core Full Face Helmet
Overall Review
With more and more riders looking for extra protection without the extra heft and heat, the fullface helmet market has seen a lot of development over the past few years. Italian protection specialist Bluegrass is throwing its hat (helmet) in the ring too, with the all-new Vanguard. It features plenty of vents, meets and exceeds the ASTM downhill standard for impact energy absorption, and weighs in at a scant 725 grams. We’ve had it out on the trails to see what gives, keep reading to learn more
