The *NDUD* chairlift consists of four U-hauls full of bikes and riders.
The top of Dry Hill, living up to its name...for now.
Don't try to tell riders in the PNW that DH racing is a dying discipline. 400+ racers are present this weekend.
A boatload of World Cup pros and even Darren Berrecloth are in Port Angeles to race.
Andrew Neethling living the American racing dream. A Chevy Impala and bikes, back to his roots.
Mikey Sylvestri prior to his new suspension setup, kicks off practice for ARMA/Evil.
Miranda Miller with that #underworld feeling in the deep, dark woods.
Cedric Gracia made the trip up from Sea Otter to get some legitimate testing on his new DVO suspension.
Looks like it's working just fine.
Brook MacDonald, at home in New Zealand? Nope, Port Angeles.
Jill Kintner, fresh off a Sea Otter victory looked fast in practice. #localknowledge.
Neko Mulally is welcomed to the jungle.
Aaron Gwin is hot off a victory at Sea Otter, too, but here he's riding 26-inch wheels and a downhill bike. Things seem back to normal...for now.
Mitch Ropelato with a pretty, yellow spring and plenty of spring to his riding. He's nerfing and blasting all over the bumps and rolls on course.
Evil Vengeance Tour rider, Phil Kmetz showing us just how tight and thick the trees are in Washington.
Casey Brown, leaned in and looking ahead.
Steve Smith won here last year and he's ready to repeat. Stay tuned for more action from Washington on Vital MTB!

Description
Photos by Dave Trumpore - The 2nd round of the NW Cup is also the first round of the U.S. Mountain Biking Grand Prix. A host of World Cup racers and locals flocked to Dry Hill in Port Angeles, Washington, the week after Sea Otter to challenge the first *real* U.S. downhill race of the 2013 season. The trees are thick, the speeds are high and while riders and teams are playing it cool on the outside at this race, we know everyone is curious to see how they stack up against one another. To put it in perspective, there are three 2012 World Cup winners present, Aaron Gwin, Brook MacDonald and Steve Smith, not to mention heaps of other talent.
