What can one say about Gwin. Unflappable? Invincible? Solid as a rock and calm as a cucumber, I say. Hats off to another great performance. -Sven Martin
Mid-air and turning like an absolute boss. Rachel stepped it up today and put a 5-second margin down on the rest of the field. Duncan Philpott
Gaetan Vige may not be the most hyped junior on the circuit but he's got the speed to mix it up with the big names and took the win today. Duncan Philpott
Tuck, tuck, tuck all the way to 2nd place for Loris Vergier. Duncan Philpott
Tahnee couldn't even race last weekend because of her elbow yet goes 2nd today. Bright future. #followmydream -Sven Martin

Les gets local, Sylvain Cougoureux sailing into 3rd in Juniors. -Sven Martin
Danny Hart delivering consistency and into 4th. @maddogboris
Gee almost didn't race this weekend and could barely hold himself up in the rough or steep, so he was actually satisfied with a Top 20, all things considered. -Sven Martin
Marcelo may not be having as much of a breakout year as last but still a solid result and riding from the Colombian. -Sven Martin
Like it says... @maddogboris

Not sure if Ratboy could see the track today! @maddogboris
Luca Shaw crashed in his race run and had to settle for 36th. This huck makes up for it a little! Dan Hearn
17th today for El Chappo. Just like that, the two loosest unit and teammates both in the Top 20. Bergamont Hayes Factory Team. -Sven Martin
9th place for Joe Smith, proving he doesn't only shine in Welsh "wet as fook" conditions. -Sven Martin
This chicane was taped about two feet wider to the left for all of practice today (you can see a bit of tape on the floor) It was changed after practice before finals back to how it was on Saturday resulting in Laurie Greenland and Florant Payet having massive stacks and one or two others. Pretty harsh outcome after a week of training. -Sven Martin
Gee had another massive stack with his shoulder collapsing on his last training run today, further pummelling his body. -Sven Martin
Early morning meditation and warm-up stretch session for Rachel prior to breaking Anne Caroline Chausson's record of 9 straight consecutive World Cup wins. 10 for Rachel. -Sven Martin

Pinkbike's finest napping on the job. #dontwatchRAWandseesvensleepingtoo -Sven Martin
Loris with the manual thrust into 2nd place. -Sven Martin
The sun unexpectedly came out and the morning's spike cutting ritual could have arguably been a waste of time. Duncan Philpott
The slick muddy track of the morning kept riders on their toes. From the end of B practice to race runs of the women, mud turned to baked hardpack. Duncan Philpott
Crashes upon crashes upon crashes was unfortunately the story of Elliot's Sunday
A crash before the first split meant a no-repeat for Mike Jones from qualifying. Duncan Philpott
Not necessary for finals. Duncan Philpott

There was always the threat of rain but it didn't hinder Greg Williamson who put down another 6th place to make it to 4th in the overall. Impressive considering he's never had a World Cup podium. Duncan Philpott
Warner focused and in the zone. It's not the beer-cruising-bygone-Freecaster days. Duncan Philpott
They start them young in Austria. -Sven Martin
Business as usual for Greg Minnaar, stacking up those podiums. Duncan Philpott

Description

The track dried out and the times sped up, but no one could match the speed of Aaron Gwin, Rachel Atherton and Gaetan Vige at the 2016 World Cup Downhill in Leogang, Austria. Sven Martin, Duncan Philpott, @maddogboris and Dan Hearn capture the action among the mountains. What a race!
