First Look: Royal Racing's 2013 MTB Apparel Lineup

Introducing Royal's revamped Race Jersey and Shorts. For 2013, they honed in on durability, lightweight, and classic looks. The new kit weighs hundreds of grams lighter, helping get you to the finish line faster. Red, black or blue? Take your pick.
Lightweight isn't the end of the story, though. Relying on feedback from the likes of Trek World Racing and Steve Peat, Royal was able to make the Race Shorts less restrictive for easier pedaling and faster sprints.
This getup isn't your typical riding attire, but it will get the job done well, especially in colder temps. The Cutter Hoody/Shirt has a DWR coating for water resistance, some classy snap buttons, and is a very reasonable weight.
These new Domain Pants pair up well with the Cutter Hoody. They're denim style waterproof pants with shaped knees and internal waist adjustments. Now you can rally on muddy days without looking like a racer boy.
The new Fragment Ride 3/4 sleeve jersey uses Royal's General Issue Plus Fabric. It's softer and manages moisture better than their standard fabric. Sounds like a winner for trail bike days.
For 2013, the Turbulence Jersey and Shorts come in blue, too. Wanna look good in photos? We think this kit is a solid choice.
The Turbulence Jersey also comes in a short sleeve option for 2013. It's matched up here with the new Signature Shorts, which are lightweight with a semi-fitted cut. It's your all day do everything short.
The Matrix Shorts were best sellers in years past, and for 2013 they've tuned them up even more. Simple yet functional, these feature a waterproof media pocket and non-rattle zippers. It's the little details that make us love these shorts.
Royal's completely reworked glove range includes the Turbulence, Victory, Core, Thirty, Seventy, and Tybyn gloves (pictured here). Thin yet durable palms, good dexterity, great comfort, and weight were at the forefront of their design goals for the new lineup.
Find yourself out in the weather often? The Matrix Jacket on the left is breathable, waterproof, and has a hood that'll fit over a helmet. It's now in blue and black with subtle pinstripes.
The casual line also gets a good boost for the new year. The Artic Zip Hoody on the right had a super comfy faux fur lining. We'd rock it.
Ladies, Royal has you covered as well. Keep an eye out for the Cruiser and Concept kits when you're at the bike shop. Looks good, doesn't it?
The light and robust women's Tybyn glove comes in turquoise, black, and red.
There's also a full line of youth gear for the super groms. They took a few proven pieces of guy's gear and shrunk it - same fabrics, same features, same rad style.
