There is nothing straightforward or simple about any of the 5 stages here at Whistler. In fact, they are all downright rowdy and a look-before-you-leap mentality is a must in practice. -Dave Trumpore
Tracy Moseley has looked strong and smooth through all of the technical bits, but admits Sunday is going to be a very long and very difficult day. -Dave Trumpore
Another EWS and another completely unique climate and terrain. This time it's all about dense woods, mossy trees, and deep loam. -Dave Trumpore
Rene Widhaber isn't the only one who smuggled hams over the border. Jared Graves caught red handed. Or red calved. -Dave Trumpore
Rachel Throop drops into the top of Crazy Train, the classic Blackcomb trail that makes up Stage 2. Note: within 30 minutes, the dead tree on the right was all but destroyed from people crashing through it. -Dave Trumpore
Transplanted Aussie and Whistler local, Dylan Wolksy of the Nomads, knows how it's done here. Roost, backlight, shredding all add to the shot. Dave Trumpore popping up not so much :) -Gary Perkin
Welcome to Canada for the 6th stop of the Enduro World Series. Note: Stage 5 starts from the top of that peak in the distance. #vert -Dave Trumpore
Nico Lau drops into Top of the World. While used last year, this trail is much rougher than in the past and riders put in multiple laps trying to come to grips with both the exposure and minimal grip. -Dave Trumpore
Damien Oton trades the deep loam of the Valley Trails for the sheer rock that makes up much of Top of the World. -Dave Trumpore
This is about 30-seconds into what will be about 25-minutes or more of the rough and rugged Stage 5. -Dave Trumpore
This is first big race back for Chris Johnston of the Nomads, since breaking his elbow in Andes-Pacifico way back at the beginning of the year. What a race to choose for the comeback! -Gary Perkin
Joe Barnes rips through the bottom of Crazy Train. The Valley Trails are pretty similar to the steep and tech of Scotland, so we expect him do do quite well this weekend. -Dave Trumpore
When in Whistler... Token shot of The Tusk from the start of Stage 5. -Dave Trumpore
The woods here are so dense, light is a commodity. -Dave Trumpore
There are multiple lines everywhere. Here Mathew Slaven demonstrates option 1. -Dave Trumpore
While Lars and Bars demonstates the more flora-friendly option 2. -Dave Trumpore
With steep and gnarly stages, 2800m of ascent, and a predicted temperature of 32C, Iago Garay and Chris Johnston are looking for all the lucky charms they can get their hands on for tomorrow's big day out at EWS round 6 at Crankworx in Whistler. -Gary Perkin
Ride Don't Slide is another tech and steep classic, full of line choices. This time Thomas Lapeyrie does the honors on option #1. -Dave Trumpore
Same rider, same section of trail, but on option #2. -Dave Trumpore
It's been hot and humid here all week and with massive climbs between stages, Adam Craig knew 'sun's out guns out' was the only option today. -Dave Trumpore
Don't be fooled by the #fishfromabove. This chute that Anka Martin is dropping into is ridiculously steep and full of tire-grabbing ruts. -Dave Trumpore
SInce the trails are technically open to the public during practice, there have been a few locals and tourists trying to see what all the commotion is about. When in doubt two fingers on the front brake should sort you out. #LOL -Dave Trumpore
#lightbro - The light in the woods here makes shooting extremely difficult, but every now and again it cooperates and does something special. -Dave Trumpore
350 riders + loam + days without rain = glorious backlit dust everywhere early in the mornings. -Dave Trumpore
Iago Garay drops into the bottom of Crazy Train just as the sunshine in the woods decides to cooperate. -Dave Trumpore
Team Nomads trains down Crazy Train. -Dave Trumpore
Chris Johnston doing just fine... -Dave Trumpore
Gary left no caption for this photo, but a rhyno family picture in a slideshow is a must from here on out. -Gary Perkin
The loam is at all-time levels here in Whistler. This is what happens when you train Stage 2 - Crazy Train. Loam to your dome and your buddies behind you! Stay tuned for all 5 stages in one day tomorrow! -Gary Perkin

Description
The Enduro World Series completed a 3-day, 7-stage race in Colorado a couple weeks ago and now lands in Whistler, BC for a 1-day 5-stage affair. The day will be long, the trails are steep and there is plenty of climbing in between. Riders get a glimpse of the pain they will face on Sunday as they examine the terrain in mountain biking's favorite destination. Dave Trumpore and Gary Perkin share the loam with us.
