First Look: e*thirteen's 2013 TRS+ Line

e*thirteen invited us to Les Gets, France for an up close look at their brand new line of TRS+ products. From wheels to cranks, 2x10 guides, and what may or may not be a new dropper post, e*thirteen has a lot to offer in the coming year.

All products in the TRS+[Trail Security] line are designed to fill the expanding Enduro and All-Mountain categories. They're light enough to use on XC specific bikes, but our time at Les Gets proved they're engineered to take some pretty extreme punishment on bigger bikes. Watch for more on these exciting new products in the future.

In general, the stuff looks great. But why would anybody start developing a new dropper post today, and not have the cable attached to the lower portion?

From the mouth of a Hive employee: "If you want to attach the cable on the lower half of the post you have to invert the cartridge, which would decrease overall longevity and make the post wear out faster."

I'm interpreting that as, "We had the design in the works before the market started moving away from cable at the head and we didn't want to have to start from scratch."
