STARS OF DOWNHILL REGISTERED FOR CRANKWORX LES 2 ALPES’ GIANT AIR DH

World Champions Including Nicolas Vouilloz, Steve Peat, Gee Atherton and Danny Hart

LES 2 ALPES, FRANCE May 16, 2012 - The GIANT Air DH, supported by Fox of Crankworx Les 2 Alpes will be the event of the summer for lovers of downhill racing. Not only it will take place on a brand new track, designed by top DH racers Marc Beaumont and Mick Hannah, but stars of the world’s DH racing scene are also confirmed to ride.

“We have four world champions planning to attend the Crankworx Les 2 Alpes GIANT DH taking place July 9-11,” says Sebastien Chovet, Global Manager, Ayton Concept. “Nicolas Vouilloz (Team Lapierre) who needs no introduction; his perennial rival Steve Peat (Team Santa Cruz), World Champion in 2009; Gee Atherton (Team GT) World Champion in 2010; and Danny Hart (Team Giant) already a star from his first title won September 2011 in Champery during an incredible final where he took the lead by over 10 seconds - something never before seen in the history of the downhill!” 

France will be sending its best to challenge these world rivals and fly the French flag with Cedric Gracia, Mick Pascal and Giordanengo Aurelien set to race. Racing stars Myriam Nicole (Team Commencal) and  2011 Women’s World Champion Emmeline Ragot (Team Mondraker) will join Rachel Atherton (Team GT) and 2011 Junior Women’s World Champion in 2011, Manon Carpenter (Team Madison) will be racing for female supremacy at Crankworx Les 2 Alpes.
