RESULTS: Aaron Gwin and Tracey Hannah Qualify Fastest in Leogang 2

No big wheels? No big deal!

Say what you will about the track here in Leogang, at least it had the merit of taking the focus off the size of people's wheels for a bit. The smooth and fast course confirmed today what may have been a little bit lost in translation over the past month or so: you still have to pin it to win it. And at that little game, few if any can trade punches with Aaron Gwin here in Austria. Although not the fastest at the first split, Gwin laid down a stormer on the track that has seen him do so well in the past, ultimately building a 2.2-second advantage over closest rival and series leader Greg Minnaar. Tracey Hannah did the same in the women's, beating Tahnee Seagrave by 2.2 seconds and the rest of the field by more than 6 seconds, while Matt Walker and Finn Iles continue their close battle in the junior men's.
