At the end of another day of epic battle, Jerome Clementz honored his number 1 plate by closing out the season with a win, underlining why he is the first ever Enduro World Champion in emphatic style. Jared Graves never let off the pressure, hounding JC to the bitter end, but had to settle for runner-up a mere 2.7 seconds back - over 25 minutes of racing, that is pretty incredible!
Junior Martin Maes put in an incredible performance to finish 3rd overall, throwing down 2 solid runs today to overhaul Fabien Barel for the virtual podium spot (Martin won't be on the Elite podium since he is still a Junior). Martin will console himself with the first-ever Junior World Enduro Champion title, and sends a clear message to the Elite category at the same time...
Nicolas Lau was second on stage 5 and won stage 6 by a relatively big margin, which saw him climb back up to 6th overall and leaving him to ponder what could have been had he not missed his time control yesterday (which lead to a 1-minute penalty).
In the women's category, Tracy Moseley fought off Anne-Caroline Chausson to finish her season in the same way she started it back in Punta Ala a few months ago - with a win! Especially fitting since Tracy is also the winner of the women's overall Enduro World Champion title, making it a last-stop win for each title holder and leaving no room for debate.
