Knolly Bikes Grassroots Racing Program Launch 1

Knolly Bikes is excited to announce the launch of the 2014 Grassroots Racing Program. The Program is aimed at supporting selected athletes with Grassroots level support for 2014 including DH and Enduro formats. In the inaugural year we’re looking to build a solid foundation for a competitive Racing Program for years to come. Starting at the Grassroots level, the Program has high hopes in coming years to support racers at Elite levels including World Cup circuits. Everyone at Knolly is a fan of racing and we hope to contribute to the sport and develop a few upcoming shredders.

The Chilcotin is well equipped to handle any racing format you want to throw at it. Burly enough for DH tracks and nimble enough for Enduro this frame can offer the complete package.

2014 will mark the kick off year for the program as we recruit Grassroots level racers to join the team.  We expect to have a handful of selected Racers that post solid results, represent the brand to a high level of professionalism and act as true Ambassadors in their local scenes to graduate through the program to our “Elite” or “Team” sponsorship levels.

Noel Buckley – President & CEO Knolly Bikes: "Everyone at Knolly is very excited about the Racing Program on many different levels. Clearly the opportunity to have more athletes competing on our product is a key focus for the program but to also have a group of Ambassadors acting as Race Managers is a great asset to our business.  I look forward to seeing the program grow as we enter our inaugural year."

The Podium – appropriately named if you want to give yourself an advantage vs. your DH competition.

Kevin Waterbury – Global Sales Manager: “We are very excited here at Knolly to begin participation in the grassroots racing scene via the launch of this new program. As we all know, racing is what drives the leading edge of almost all technology in the sport of mountain biking, and we are proud to be a part of this. Racers of all disciplines can reap the rewards of Knolly's high-tech 4xFOUR suspension design, and we want to make our technology available to more riders than ever before, thru this new Grassroots Program.”

Regional Race Managers will be responsible for recruitment, interviews and selection. Criteria for recruitment will be focused on racers that are planning to compete in a specific or number of race series in his/her local scenes around the globe. Equally important for recruitment are athletes that can represent themselves and the Knolly brand professionally and enthusiastically.
