Justin Leov and Tracy Moseley with Trek Double at EWS Tweedlove 5

The sun and fun of day 1 quickly gave way to more traditional Scottish weather - with rain and gale force winds forcing the organizers to cut down on day 2's stages. The much-criticized stage 6 was axed along with 7, but the long and physically demanding stage 8 was maintained. Overnight leader Richie Rude saw his challenge fade away on stage 5, and he would go on to finish 7th despite a strong finish on stage 8. When all was said and done, Justin Leov left no room for appeals with a demolition of stage 8, taking his first ever EWS win in the process ahead of Florian Nicolai in second. Greg Callahan confirmed his good form following last week's win in his native Ireland with a solid 3rd place here in Scotland.

Tracy Moseley had no challengers this week, taking the women's title over 1 minute ahead of 2nd placed Anne Caro Chausson, marking the first time ever a team has won the double. Justin, Tracy, and Trek all leave Scotland with the overall series leads, too. Big team congrats!
