Based on some recent facebook posts, Thomson is getting close to unleashing a new adjustable seatpost on the world. It's about time! They are currently calling it the TCAS (Thomson Crash Avoidance System). They hope to be ready by September 1st, and will post pictures after May 1st.

I'm excited to see what they come up with.

Ready by September 1st.... 2012?

Didn't they spend like 2 years developing their setapost collar?
They don't make mediocre stuff so however long it takes them, it's going to be probably the best moving post ever. I'll get in line for one now.

There are some sweet looking posts on the way...KS LEV, Blackx Jewel, etc...surely only a matter of time before all these new entrants push the whole industry to up their game, including the big names (cable on the collar, play-free, etc - those are all innovations still waiting to happen for a lot of companies...). Can only be a good thing in the long run!

"Crash avoidance?"

Total lack of vision.

Put some rapid fire function in there and call it the acorn smasher. This sport is so uninspired.
