I sure hope we get 9-36t cassettes before they even start talking about 11 speed anything...

Although - a dream come true - finally a bike that goes to 11!!!

9t doesn't work because of the polygon effect. Read about it in Bikeradar's presentation of the XX1, where it was told the protos used a 9t cog from the Shimano commuter grouppo.

Unless Shimano decided touse a 10 mm pitch chain for their 1x11 group, then they could use an 11t in a 1/2" 9T cog diameter.

EDIT: damn you search and my lack of looking at dates... -_-
