Just beginning / Need some advice and tips

hey my dad is buying me a bike and the limit is around 2 grand. I want it to be a freeride mountain bike with front and rear suspension, I would like it to be a devinci wilson can someone please give me some advice thanks

I'd say you should concentrate on getting the best frame and suspension that you can for the money and not worry about getting the latest and greatest components. The small bits will break over time, particularly under a beginner, and can be replaced with better items as they do. But the frame and suspension are going to be with you for a while. If you haven't already, check out the products section of the site for more options.

hey bro, i think we have to enjoy first when we ride a bike..
sometimes i take a light downhill with my hardtail XC bike..weird, huh? yeah i know..:D
but i enjoy it..

The bike you want cost $3600 and the Status 2 cost $3400, your best choice is either the Status 1 or the Mongoose Boot'r, both cost $2600.

look up vitus Dominer 2 its a great bike for only 1480!!!!! lots of room to upgade!!!
