Vital's Bravest - Monthly Contest Presented by Five Ten - March Winner

February 2014

When you're 14, all you want to do is hang out on Facebook and watch TV, right? Wrong! A mound of dirt, a ramp, or the neighborhood skatepark may seem like child's play to some, but any biker will tell you: these are the tools that free your mind, not enslave it. Whether it be nailing a new section of trail or landing a new trick, we all know the feeling of satisfaction that comes from pushing the boat out and finding you can do something you didn't know you had in you. Felix Hellström and his friends know this feeling well, and come rain or shine they'll stay out late to work on that elusive next trick. And when that next trick is a double bar over a big kicker, it's that little bit sweeter still!

Two-wheel love like this is the very essence of the Brand of the Brave - this is why Five Ten makes shoes like their latest masterpiece, the Five Ten Freerider VXi in the first place. Felix will no doubt be stoked to lay his hands on a pair as he continues to enjoy his riding - and we'll look forward to seeing him progress too.

Congrats Felix - you are Vital's Bravest for March 2014!

Time to find out just how brave you are. Five Ten, the Brand of the Brave, and Vital have teamed up to bring you a monthly search for the most daring among us. Whether you finally stuck that big drop, completed your longest trail ride ever, or overcame adversity or injury, we want you to be rewarded for your courage.

The contest runs monthly, and the rules are simple - we'll pick one Vital member-submitted mountain biking photo or video that best exemplifies bravery each month and reward the winning member with rad prizes from Five Ten. Think you have what it takes? Then get out there and inspire us!

To participate, just upload your photos and/or videos to Vital MTB.

At the end of each month, we'll announce the winner based on who stoked us out the most.
