Custom paint, exotic parts, or just an all-round well-thought out build - that's what it usually takes to get Bike of the Day on Vital. But why stop there? If your pride and joy is an eyeball-popping, retina-searing blingfest, maybe it stands a chance of earning you membership in a new, even more exclusive club...
Without further ado, here are Five Rad Rides from October. Time to get your drool on!
The Engagement Present
Yeah, that's right, this is how you're supposed to propose these days. Real girls don't want no ring, they want a custom-built, custom-painted Santa Cruz carbon V10 with all the trimmings. Don't forget to engrave the grip lockrings. This purple beauty was our Bike of the Day on October 8. And yes, she did say yes!
The Green Glory
We told you your stock ride ain't gonna cut the mustard here. Now if for example you invested in a custom paintjob in pearl lime green with gold pearls complete with Hot Rod flames, custom painted rims, painted seatpost and Sam Hill's old saddle, well then, maybe we'd consider it. But don't call us, we'll call you. This green special made Bike of the Day on October 9.
The Over-Voltage
Warning - High Tension! The Scott Voltage is a versatile shred-monster, and particularly when set up with a big fork and sturdy parts it looks fast and fun just standing there. This buzzing build made its owner proud with October 29's Bike of the Day.
Hot Air HD
This Ibis has bags of Mojo, and that's not a load of hot air. C'mon, we dare you, point out one thing you'd change on this build? You're too late, it was Bike of the Day on October 26 already and now it made the top 5 too!
Any Given Sunday
We can't promise we'll have a Sunday to share with you every time we do one of these...but we'll try! How could you not go green with envy at the sight of this rolling classic, it hasn't missed a beat over the last few years and still wouldn't look our of place in many a catalog. It was our Bike of the Day on October 6 - and yes, that WAS a Sunday. Shred on brother!
