Yeah sure mountain bikers expect every manufacturer to have unique design aesthetics independent of intended use, manufacturing methods or material of the frame, but the all the bikes have to work great. Also, if bike brand does not change the design since it apparently works great and looks great, bikers will complain that it's boring. How is this supposed to make sense from a bike designer stand point.

You really need to think why certain designs come into being to understand that desings typically converge to a small set of solutions. You can't have 100 different design solutions that all perform the same. Look at the nature. 

 

Nice bike Velouria, also the gravel bike you have is also very interesting!

@gibbon too, this has a horst link, and yes its titanium front and back, Cotic is steel front, aluminum rear. There are plenty of horizontally actuated frames out there, but they all aren't the same. The Geometry and suspension curves is the real difference, and its hard to tell those just from a few pics
