|Additional Info: As part of a marriage proposal, a local customer wanted to do something really special for his soon to be bride. Being that his special lady wasn't that into jewelry, and loved DH Bikes, he Approached us at The Garage about building a fully custom Santa Cruz V10 for her. Nearly every part of this bike is custom, down to the paint by Elbert Uber Lack (note: there are no decals on the frame - ITS ALL PAINT), the pedals and bar end caps by Twenty6 are custom engraved with the phrase: "Forever Loved". To add an element of surprise, this bike was secretly exchanged with her normal bike when they loaded the chairlift at Whistler and at the top he presented her with the bike and a ring. that's THE most beautiful engagement present ive EVER seen... WOW. shes a lucky lady to have a dude do something like THIS.... as are YOU im sure !!!!!!!!!!!!! AND A RING TOO ???????? CONGRATS TO YOU BOTH !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sick! Good job Steve and Co. on the build!
That frame is a work of art, and the custom etching is a nice touch. Build is let down slightly by the fork decals.
WOW! Great project for great reason !
Specialy Twenty6 pedals and barends
If she changes her mind, I'm single.......................aside from being 6'4, 260lbs, can bench 350lb, drink 3 pints of Guinness in under 10 mins, like riding V10s and am straight, I think I could be a good match....:D
you sure you're straight? that was a pretty gay comment
Wow. Never seen spokes like that! Nice work. Just one thing: Fox stickers have been inverted! Left right
Bike of the Day October 8, 2013! (we imagine she said yes?)
Thanks for the Bike of the Day! oh and we heard that she did say yes.
and yes the fork decals are inverted. put them on wrong, but then kinda liked it so I left them that way. just another part of the bike that make you really look twice.
I noticed that! But small thing to change right?
Did you do something special to prepare the carbon for painting? That's the only thing I can still do to mine
True love would have included carbon rims and a tubeless set up ;-)
Nice build - could have rolled the zip tie ends to the inside once they were cut so it looks neater.
Nice paint job too!
