What size ring are you running in the front? I'm thinking of converting from XTR to this setup but I'm concerned that the gearing may not be flexible enough for my "early season out of shape climbing" ability! Also, how much of an effect is the wheel size on the gearing compared to a 26'er? Currently quite happy with my 5 Spot but it's 2 years old now and I'm starting to get the itch for a new bike.

The frame is a large. And it would be closer to 28 if it didn't have a dropper post and a demo seat. But lets be honest. Can you really tell the difference between 28 and 29 lbs? Doubt it, I know I cant. But what I do know is that this bike is built to withstand some abuse and shred on a daily basis and I didn't put a single part on there that I didn't want.
